Three Aspects of “Seriousness” During the Time of COVID-19

We should pay attention to the three aspects of “seriousness” during this journey of COVID-19.

1- Be serious in following Doctor’s advice and apply regular hygiene practices and preventive measures, such as washing hands frequently, use mask if available, avoid public gatherings, keep proper distance between people, etc.
Keep lifestyle healthy and be active such as doing exercises and taking walks rather than locking ourselves in the house without proper movements under the name of sheltering.

2- Don’t be too serious in entertaining your mental state which could cause many unnecessary complications, such as paranoia, heart attack, high blood pressure, etc.

3- Be serious in maintaining mental hygiene. For example, calm down the mind and accept the reality reasonably.

We as spiritual followers should practice more calm abiding meditation. So, bring our faith and compassion in unity and have unconditional faith to Guru Rinpoche, Mother Tara, Medicine Buddha, etc. Let them be in Oneness with Guru Vajradhara and then invoke their blessings by reciting mantras of Guru Rinpoche, Mother Tara or Medicine Buddha. Next, generate unconditional compassion towards every living being including COVID-19 so that every one can be awakened from ignorance. So every one can be in healthy and harmonious state including COVID-19, which is also a form of living being.
